My craft and sewing projects - 2nd half of 2023

I miss you blog. I was focused on other social platforms which were faster paced filled with 15 second reels and trending audio that at one moment I felt everything is moving too fast.

Instagram has become like ADHD. I find myself scrolling when a reel doesn't catch my attention for the first 3 seconds. And I'm constantly scrolling until I find something that inspires me but lately, NOTHING inspires me! Is this the result of content saturation? Too many contents out there. And here I am trying to create my own content but I feel like I will never be good enough like them. Haiz...

Anyways, more updates here of my creations. Picture time!

Casual indigo sling bag with adjustable strap, just tie at the bronze D-ring at one side of the bag.

Boxy pouches, very roomie inside for your cosmetics or stationery.

Compact purses with front pocket compartment and a zippered compartment

Hand painted series of pouches, starting with this Nanyang kopitiam style coffee cup pouch. Comes with wooden spoon, heehee.

Good Morning pouch made using transfer paper method. I need to change the approach as this method was risky as it resulted in more casualties than I expected ie. some parts not ironed well even though I held the iron on for more than 5 minutes. Screen print perhaps? The other parts lije the blue lines and the crosses at the back was easy peasy, stencil painted like a breeze.

Stencil painted scallop wave pouch. I was looking at my collection of Martha Stewart acrylic paints sitting sadly in a box and I thought I should use them!

Hand drawn tulip pouch. I started experimenting with acrylic markers on fabric. I love how easier and controllable it is compared to painting with a brush.

Made two more pocket sling bags based on the Tejika book for minimalist canvas bags.

Vintage style canvas messenger bag. I love this thick canvas which I can't find anymore *sob*

And probably my last sewing project for this year, this cute mini boston bag, also based on Tejika book. With this, I used up all the blue canvas! I always feel satisfied when I finish using up my fabric. I have more to clear.

These are pretty much all my sewing projects since the last update . I'm very happy with my creations this year! For more pictures and details, do visit my Instagram, shopee and lazada online shops, luv.

ps. I have also designed some sticker sheets which I will post separately. So excited!
