Kedai Kahwin or Bridal Shops in Johor Bahru (post pandemic update)

I think Johor Bahru is an awesome place to find wedding decor, particularly for Malay weddings and engagement ceremonies. No longer are the obiang kampung style, well, it is still available if that's your style, but I must say, the wedding decor scene is getting kinda nice and zakka nowadays!

I have 3 kedai kahwins that are my go-to places when I need supplies like ribbons, laces, buttons, beads, blings, faux flowers, decor items and wedding favors in the form of little boxes, glass jars etc.

My convenient favourites are Kaison, Romantika and Kahwins at Jalan Simbang, Perling, all near my house.

For really natural-looking faux flowers, so far SSF is the best. But last weekend, I found a shop that was like my faux flowers haven! It's PISB, located at Giant Tampoi, also near my house! It must be fate that brought all these kedai kahwins near me!

Got these hydrangeas for a friend's wedding.

Some of the most prettiest natural-looking faux roses I've seen.

Not many flower pot or planters variety that I fancy. This is quite sweet though.

Ooo... succulent. Plenty on Taobao. These felt quite heavy and solid. 

Other 'fillers'.

I bought a few items to decorate my friend's ang pow box. The little bouquets of roses on the box were actually cut and re-arranged. I just love how sweet and natural the flowers look!
