Daniel's New Haircut

Took him to a salon to have his haircut. He sat on my lap, the hairdresser wrap him with the 'plastic protector', but in the end both of us still covered with his hair. He didn't squirm at all, not bad siah! He was just very curious at everything, kept staring at the pretty cheh-cheh trimming his hair.... hahhaha. And then, ta-da! Daniel's new look, the Schoolboy-Boy-Scout look! Look so decent right... hahahaha

Dinner@Soup Place. A-Har's boyfriend took this picture, and I actually forgot what he looks like! Good thing we had this little gathering. Aiwah, as sweet as ever, Waihar still as Waihar, Aikkia and LayHoon still not holding hands in front of us... why so pai seh, ka kee nang mah. Anyway, it was a warm, simple, light-hearted gathering. We gotta do this more often yah!

What goes up...won't come down

What does the '0' means? No consumption at all? I don't understand this table. No explanation summore. And gahmen think we stupid or what... the tariff raise that affects the manufacturing sector like factories and plants, will eventually result in increased price for everything under the sun, just like what the fuel price hike did. Dare to say it won't affect the low and medium income group. Bunch of lying morons who treat us like we're stupid and 'grateful that gahmen is such a considerate and loving leaders'. Tsk tsk tsk shameless *beep beep beep*

Life's Woes

As I sit here and ponder over my future, I think about the five of the universal law that can help me through difficult times, and I would like to share with you.
1. This, too, shall pass.
Nothing stays the same. The only constant in life is change. With every decision we make, we initiate change. Even when we decide not to decide, life still goes on, and changes still occur. When we are in a state of discomfort, sadness, grief, or pain, we know that because life goes on, change will bring us some kind of relief. And because even comfort, happiness, and all good things also pass, we know that we need to appreciate and cherish each precious, fleeting moment.

2. Time heals.
The timepiece of life never stops. Neither does it pause for those who celebrate, speed up for those who are impatient, nor slow down for those who fear tomorrow. Time ticks a regular rhythm that steadily brings new moments, new days, and new seasons. As time pushes forward, we take new steps, face new challenges, and create new opportunities. And as life goes on, we are forced to move past our episodes of disappointment, sorrow, or despair. More than anything else, time heals not just broken bones but broken hearts as well.

3. Ask, and you shall receive.
People won't know what you want unless you ask for it. Dreams and goals are just wishes until you act on them, and acting on them often requires that you ask for answers, for assistance, or for something tangible. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, but when you come forward, only then will the world know what to give you. Just ask and know that miracles can happen.

4. You can have anything, but not everything.
Life offers us infinite possibilities. With hard work, determination, and perseverance, we can achieve anything. If we are willing to pay the price and go the extra mile, we can have whatever our hearts desire. But no matter how hard we try, we can't have everything . Life is a balancing act of wins, losses, and trade-offs... we gain some and we lose some.

5. What goes around comes around.
It's the universal law of nature: do to others what you want others to do to you, because whatever you sow, you reap; whatever you give, you get back ten-fold. It doesnt hurt to smile, or be kind, or extend a helping hand. You never know when or how, but every act of goodness always returns to the GIVER. Give one today and receive ten tomorrow.

I am ready to face my world, mummy. But for now, please change my diaper, I think I just pooped.

I go round and round the pool and created a whirl! Daddy should've gotten the bigger one, then daddy mummy, grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle and my friends can jump in and join me... eh, can meh?

Happy Mother's Day

Sorry, a bit belated... Happy Mother's Day to all moms. Daniel gave me a big wet kiss, and a diaper full of shit...hahaha. I brought my mommy dearest and the little barb to Ikea on Saturday, then came back and went out for dinner again at Jusco, Tebrau City. Met up with Aiwah and her colleagues. Daniel received his first birthday gift from Aiwah CHEH-CHEH, a cool sportscar! (will load pictures next week) He doesn't know how to push with his legs yet, but he lifts his legs and rest them on top when I push the car for him... wah, so lazy! Anyway, Paul went back to Seremban to have dinner with his mom, who end up cooking because the restaurants outside were so packed. My mom thinks I should've went back together, but knowing her, if I really did that, she will be disappointed and the "ya la, other mothers are more important now la" will start. Ally smart now...hehehe. Anyway, I know nothing can make it up to mom-in-law, but I hope Lo Hong Ka Bird's Nest will make her happy. Besides, it won't be long before we make another visit :)

Ally's Vision Became Blurry

In view of recent speculation, I will have to put my plan on hold for now. Paul's eventual destiny is Kuala Lumpur, should there be an opening. This may happen in 6 months... or 6 years, who knows, but what if it's the former. I don't want short commitment here. So how? Work till end of the year, get bonus first? In the meantime, I have to find a way to find time. If only my little bard could say this "It's ok, mummy, go to work, I will be fine".... awww.

"Malaysian firms well-positioned to be big time players

MALAYSIA is poised to be a significant global player in the production of biofuel, going forward.

Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry general manager Thomas Brandt said the potential for Malaysian companies to venture into palm based biodiesel production was tremendous – catering not only for domestic but also for the export market.

He told StarBiz in Kuala Lumpur that palm oil would likely be one of the major components in the production of biodiesel especially with increasing fossil energy prices and the finite nature of fossil resources, which suggested the usage of alternatives and biofuels.

Currently, rapeseed and soybean oils are the two main raw materials for the production of biodiesel in the world.

Today, Germany is the biggest producer and user of biofuels within Europe and has a leading position in the field of biofuel production using rapeseed, soybean and palm oil. Malaysia is the world's largest producer and exporter of palm oil, accounting for 47% of global output and 54% of world exports last year. "

Ally's First Resume in 6 Years

It is a scary transition. In fact, any major life-changing transition is scary. But i must do this. I wrote my first resume in 6 years. I had to search for an example in the web, and found this website for writing resumes. Simple and straight to the point, should be that way, right? Though under my 'Work Experience', there is only one content, but I should be proud of the number 6.
I've been so blessed all this time. Starting my first job as a fresh grad wasn't very stressful because I was already familiar with the job and the people, and plus, I had a companion, good 'ol Seok Shin our coursemate, as a roomie. So much memories. Anyway, I sent my resume to two companies specialising in palm oil and oleochemicals, in Pasir Gudang. Then I realize I did not include my phone number. Big joke right. Never mind, practise practise practise. In the meantime, I will look for new entrees in jobstreet.com, and my logic devil is still yelling at me.
